on

of course there is all sorts of zombie apocalypse survival kits that companies have made that you can buy.

But if your a true outdoors man/woman and DIY specialist, you’ll probably want to make your own. Here is what i think the best DIY survival kit should consist of.

-of course, your preferred weapon and as much ammo as you can carry.

-a backpack with enough storage space for your survival gear.

-a hatchet or machete makes good for close quarters combat and is a great tool for all your cutting needs.

-a fold up shovel or similar tool for digging.

-a local map of the area you’re located, or plan to be surviving in.

-a compass is a must have if you want to be able to use your map.

-a self-powered flashlight so you can see in dark places without power.

-a self-powered radio to pick up radio frequencies that other survivors could be emitting.

-as much rope as you can carry, make sure it’s sturdy and can support a lot of weight.

-an 8′ by 10′ tarp. It can make a great tent or water catcher.

-buy a first aid kit and put it in a waterproof bag, don’t buy a cheap one either.

-multiple thick trash bags, great for waterproofing and similar uses.

-2 paper towel rolls, a brother gotta wipe.

-at lease 1 set of spare clothes.

-plenty of dehydrated and/or non-perishable food.

-as much water as you can carry and a water filter or such means of preparing more water to be drinkable.

-a multi-tool pocket knife has so many uses, it can be a real life saver.
